A three-story house on Jalan Kelapa Puan 16-14, RT 012/12, Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman, East Jakarta burnt on Friday (9/13) at 9:28 AM.
We deployed 40 personnel with eight fire trucks
East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Abdul Wahid, explained the fire began when the house owner, Sugianto, was on the first floor. He was then surprised by thick smoke coming from the second floor.

Wahid added that local residents also tried to extinguish the fire manually. But they failed to put off the fire.
"We deployed 40 personnel with eight fire trucks," he added.
According to him, the fire then extinguished fully at 10:39. There is no victim caused by the incident.
"Temporary allegedly was caused by electrical short circuit," he stated.
